CECOF represents metallurgical equipment suppliers at European level

The members of the European association CECOF (previously: The European Committee of Industrial Furnace and Heating Equipment Associations) decided at their General Assembly on October 11, 2019 to open their doors to metallurgical equipment suppliers.

The full name is now CECOF - The European Committee of Industrial Furnace, Heating and Metallurgical Equipment Associations. In addition to the inclusion of metallurgical equipment into the group of constitutionally represented industries, it was also decided to establish a "Metallurgical Commission". 

The thermo processing industry and metallurgical plant construction have numerous common topics, interests and challenges which must also be represented at European level. With the opening of CECOF, both industries are joining forces to represent their interests on a renowned European platform. EUnited Metallurgy, the previous European association representing metallurgical plant construction, will cease its activities at the end of the year.
